These are excellent- my granddaughter of 4 knows them by heart already and my children listened to the tapes as children. They are captivating. Definitely highly recommended for any age as family devotions!!!

A Great Family Tradition

We got the entire set for my dad for Christmas. We had the “You Are There” Christmas on cassette tape as kids and we would listen to one a day as a family every year around Christmas time. My sister and I looked forward to it every year, and we could (and still can) quote the lines from it just like they were from a Disney movie. I feel like I have more specific knowledge of the Christmas story, (which is biblically accurate, I might add) than the average church person, and that’s due to listening to these recordings as a kid. My parents had still been listening to the cassette on their own every Christmas for all these years, so we wanted to update them to the CD and we decided they would enjoy other Bible stories as well. I look forward to them sharing this with their grandchildren (my kids). Excellent product!

I'm a huge fan of Lamplighter and have bought all the radio drama productions and many, many of the Lamplighter published books. But somehow I missed these CDs. My 11 year old loves listening to stories on CD as we commute to school and so I bought these expecting them to be wonderful and they are!! We have enjoyed and benefited from each one. Thank you Lamplighter for hitting a home run with this set.

I have been looking for these CDs for several years. Our daughters absolutely loved them in the 1980's and I had a few of them as tapes, but needed CDs. They are the same, extremely well done stories now in CD form.
Thank you VERY much! I bought 2 sets for grandchildren, and one set for a daughter who wanted her own set. She adores them as we all do!

WONDERFUL and Generational

As has been our experience with all of the other Lamplighter Theater productions, these CDs are wonderful. We have listened to quite a few of them and we all - from youngest to oldest - love them.

I (a 40 yr old momma!) first listened to the Christmas CDs when in the car alone one day -- when I reached my destination, I did not want to get out of the car because I was enjoying the story so much!

I highly recommend a set of these for every family - to be passed along from generation to generation. They are beautiful and timeless!

My only 'disappointment' (and it is not a big deal at all, really) - but the only negative I would have is that the Bible Stories for Little Ears, Old Testament CD is a bit boring. It is not dramatized - but rather just storytelling. Once you've been introduced to the ear, brain and heart-tickling dramatized stories, anything else falls short. BUT I still HIGHLY recommend these to any and all!

Lamplighter is a wonderful blessing and will be in our family for many years to come!

As kids, we listened to these on cassettes all the time. Years later, I searched online to try to find them, but they had disappeared. So glad that Lamplighter has revived these great stories! A family favorite.
