We love Lamplighter Publishers. The books are top notch and topics and Christian values they instill in us are priceless.
Great Quick Reading
From Mandy Welch of Colorado Springs, Colorado on 12/2/2020 .
I purchased this book a while ago, and it set on the self until we had finished some larger novels. This was a perfect story with three short stories in one volume. Each one with characters demonstrating traits I would love my children to emulate. This was an excellent book, and I am so glad to have it in our collection.
Pleasant Surprise
From Colette Stine of Backus, Minnesota on 8/2/2020 .
I had no idea what to expect from this little book, but was pleasantly surprised. First of all (because this is the kind of information I look for before purchasing a book), this book consists of three different short stories. The protagonist in each is a boy, so I think boys would especially love it, but girls certainly would, too. I found each of the stories to be sweet and have excellent qualities to them, and perhaps my favorite part was finding out that the last one was written by my favorite, Amy Le Feuvre. This is another one that I highly recommend, and I can't wait to get a hold of volumes two and three.
Great Short Stories!!

I purchased this as a Sunday School gift to a 10 year old boy who has borrowed a couple of my Lamplighter books and loved them. However I went ahead and read the book myself and I loved it! I think it was a great purchase and hope he enjoys it as much as I did. 😊
Wonderful

My children were fiercely begging to go on at the end of each chapter.
Lovely
From Mary of Atlanta, Georgia on 11/23/2014 .
Lovely stories that will be read over and over again. They remind me of the stories my Granny told me as a child. A wonderful addition to our library.
Wonderful Story Time
From Michael Warren of Crystal Lake, Illinois on 7/3/2014 .
I enjoy reading these aloud to my children (10,7,5) and they love to listen. They ask questions about vocabulary they do not understand and follow the engaging stories. One challenge for me reading aloud is voicing some of the slang/broken english used by some characters. It takes a moment to discern what the character is communicating. This issue is also challenging for children reading independently. However, it should NOT deter you from these high quality books.
Great Family Stories
From Angela Hagenow of Moundville, Missouri on 3/18/2014 .
I purchased this for my oldest son and daughter to read aloud to their children. My grandchildren are 2,4 and 5 years old and they are sitting quietly to listen to Daddy read these stories that portray Biblical virtues and wonderful illustrations. They are looking forward to receiving Volume 2 in their next book club purchase.

A great book with several short stories. We like to read it together as a family. My boys 5 & 9 really enjoy it.
LOVE THESE STORIES!
From Katie Priest of Houston, Texas on 12/15/2012 .
Amazing short stories...FILLED with righteous, courageous characters....WONDERFUL heroes and heroines for young children! Scriptural references at the end of the stories bring everything into focus. Also, foreign or outdated words or phrases are explained at the bottom of the pages! LOVE THEM!
